GREENVILLE CHAMBER SINGERS
CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2025
The Greenville Chamber Singers (GCS), an auditioned women's ensemble formed in 1996, share an exuberant love for choral music and a strong commitment to ongoing growth as performers. We perform a wide variety of music including sacred, Broadway, gospel, and Gershwin!
We are privileged to have had two pieces commissioned for us. The first was by composer Carolyn Hamlin - "A Merry Heart" with text adapted from Proverbs 17:22.
The second was by Dr. Anthony Bernarducci of Clemson University – ‘She” with text based on a poem by Langston Hughes.
Members' previous experiences include high school and college choruses, church choirs, and other community musical groups. The Greenville Chamber Singers is a 501 (c)(3) organization and is a musically versatile ensemble that focuses on community service.
Members are not required to sell tickets, since most performances are free!
There is a music fee of $120 per year or $60 per season - - fall/winter and spring seasons.

We sang in a larger group, the NATIONAL SYMPHONIC CHORUS (seven choirs combined) under the baton of Tom Trenny

After months of preparation, we were so excited to join the larger group for a few rehearsals as well as explore the Big Apple

We love hanging together and it's obvious by our smiles that we enjoy sing and all the other times together

Here is the one and only Tom Trenny, conductor and a featured composer for our concert, posing with some of our singers!

"Cheez-ing" for a selfie backstage at Carnegie Hall...a dream come true!

It was a fabulous trip and we are so grateful for the opportunity make beautiful music together!
