GREENVILLE CHAMBER SINGERS
CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2021
26 members of GCS sang Dan Forrest's "Jubilate Deo" with a 250 member chorus at Carnegie Hall in April 2018. What an extraordinary experience and wonderful event.
The Greenville Chamber Singers (GCS), an auditioned women's ensemble formed in 1996, share an exuberant love for choral music and a strong commitment to ongoing growth as performers. We perform a wide variety of music including sacred, Broadway, gospel, and Gershwin!
We are privileged to have had two pieces commissioned for us. The first was by composer Carolyn Hamlin - "A Merry Heart" with text adapted from Proverbs 17:22.
The second was by Dr. Anthony Bernarducci of Clemson University – ‘She” with text based on a poem by Langston Hughes.
Members' previous experiences include high school and college choruses, church choirs, and other community musical groups. The Greenville Chamber Singers is a 501 (c)(3) organization and is a musically versatile ensemble that focuses on community service.
Members are not required to sell tickets, since most performances are free!!
There is a music fee of $120 per year or $60 per season - - fall/winter season and spring season.
The Greenville Chamber Singers is excited to announce our new director: Lisa Dillard

We thank Glenda Snead for stepping in for the fall season in 2022 as our interim director. What a gift it is to have her as a member!
